Kevin Muldoon brings a rare blend of public-sector leadership and legal expertise to his role as General Counsel at Entertainment and Sports Ventures, Inc. He is the former Mayor of Newport Beach, California and an experienced attorney with a career spanning both government and private enterprise.
Kevin graduated from Loyola Marymount University of Los Angeles in 2002, where he was awarded the Dr. Singleton Award for Excellence in Economics. He earned his Juris Doctor at Chapman University School of Law in 2006, and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year.
He began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, gaining extensive litigation experience. In private practice, Kevin has served as an executive and General Counsel for multiple technology companies.
In his capacity as legal counsel, he has overseen contract negotiations of hundreds of millions of dollars in real estate transactions with Fortune 50 companies, professional sports stadiums, and hospitality groups.
As Mayor and Councilman of Newport Beach (2014–2022), Kevin managed a $290 million municipal budget, supervised 900 city employees, public safety initiatives, land use policy, and city-wide capital improvement plans.
Today, Kevin continues to serve the community as a Board Member of the Armed Services YMCA at Camp Pendleton and as an Advisory Board Member to Crime Survivors, a nonprofit supporting victims of violent crime.
