Stephen A. Joyce is the founder and CEO of Entertainment and Sports Ventures, Inc. (ESV), a
multi-disciplinary firm leading the development of luxury sports resorts, wellness destinations, and
media-branded hospitality properties. With over 40 years of leadership across law, real estate,
sports, and entertainment, Stephen brings unmatched versatility and executional vision.
He began his professional journey with a B.A. in History from the University of Connecticut and a
J.D. from the University of Bridgeport School of Law. Admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1984, he
practiced real estate law before launching a series of entrepreneurial ventures that merged legal
insight with operational scale.
In 1999, he acquired and transformed the iconic Newport Beach Tennis Club into a full-scale
lifestyle destination, adding a top-tier restaurant, luxury amenities, and national events including the
Michael Chang Classic and ATP Challenger Series.
Today, as CEO of ESV, Stephen oversees landmark projects in Palm Springs, Pacific Palisades,
and Cabo San Lucas-including the $300M+ Racquet Club Palm Springs. The project blends sports,
wellness, luxury lodging, dining, real estate, and media in one integrated brand.
A screenwriter and producer since 1994, Stephen is also a published novelist and the author of
several acclaimed travel guides. His creative and commercial careers complement each other,
reinforcing his reputation as a unique hybrid of visionary, operator, and storyteller.
